Basic Medical Education Course (BMEC)

The HKJC Innovative Learning Centre for Medicine (ILCM) has developed the Basic Medical Education Course (BMEC) to support the strategy of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) in promoting the further education of our medical fellows. Based on discussions held at the Strategic Planning Retreat on Education and Training 2023 and the decisions of the Faculty Development Working Group, the BMEC will serve as the primary course for faculty development at HKAM.
We cordially invite you to put forward nominations for the upcoming BMEC starting from 20 April 2024. The BMEC is fully supported by HKAM and will be offered to participants free of charge.
The course will be delivered through a combination of online and in-person sessions. The class schedule is as follows:
• 20 April 2024 (Saturday) AM (Zoom)
• 11 May 2024 (Saturday) Full day (onsite)
The class size is limited to 15-24 participants. We kindly ask you to nominate 1-3 fellows (a maximum of 3, please prioritize your nominees) by 10 March 2024 (Sunday). In the event of over-enrolment, ILCM will have the final decision on the number of participants from each College.
