The Hong Kong Jockey Club Innovative Learning Centre for Medicine (HKJC ILCM) was inaugurated in December 2013 to promote innovative learning and research among healthcare professionals to deliver safe and quality patient care. One of the major roles of HKJC ILCM is faculty development for simulation based medical education.

HKJC ILCM organised and hosted different training programmes and activities alone or in collaboration with various partners such as Hospital Authority, Academy Colleges and local universities. Participants of those training programmes included Academy Fellows, specialist trainees, nurses, medical students, allied healthcare and paramedical professionals.

HKJC ILCM is proudly affiliated with the Center for Medical Simulation, which is part of the Harvard medical community based in Boston, US, with a common goal of developing competent faculty to run simulation courses. A consensus agreement was signed with local health authorities and numerous medical institutions to promote simulation education in healthcare.

HKJC ILCM has also become the education arm of Hong Kong Academic of Medicine (HKAM) recently. Visit HKAM website for more information.
